From initial conversations with Ms. Sangeetha Agarwal to multiple road trips from Chennai to Bangalore for detailed planning, every aspect of this grand event was carefully curated. Marriage Colours managed the entire event, including seamless transportation and logistics, thanks to their partnership with South Gate Travels, ensuring the comfort of over 200 guests.
To accommodate the extensive guest list, two of Kerala’s finest resorts were exclusively booked: the entire Taj Green Cove (housing Mahima’s family) and the entire Niramayaa Resorts Kovalam (accommodating Piyush’s family). Vendors were strategically placed in nearby accommodations like Udya Samudra and KTDC.
Warm Welcome & Arabian Nights Sundowner
The celebrations commenced with the arrival of guests at the resorts. The lobbies were beautifully adorned with traditional Kerala elements, including vibrant pookolam
(flower carpets), auspicious nilavilakku lamps, and graceful Kathakali dancers, creating a magical first impression. A refreshing coconut stall added a local touch to the warm welcome.
The evening unfolded with a captivating sundowner at The Bait restaurant, perched right on the Arabian Sea. The theme was Arabian and Moroccan nights, featuring elegantly styled majlis tents and open lounges, adorned with enchanting lanterns and exquisite table centerpieces with rich overlays. Overhead lighting set the perfect mood for a splendid night of relaxation and camaraderie.
Haldi
Haldi by the Sea, Grand Baraat & Magical Boat Entry for the Bride
The final day began with a vibrant Haldi ceremony held by the cliffside pool, offering stunning views of the Arabian Sea. The names of Piyush and Mahima were beautifully installed at the pool’s edge. The décor resonated with Kerala’s aesthetic, featuring a cheerful theme of white and yellow, with the poolside adorned with amazing canopy decorations. Guests enjoyed a delightful Sadhya-style leaf service, immersing them in Kerala’s culinary traditions.
The Baraat was a grand affair, marked by the rhythmic beats of Chenda Melam as the groom arrived in a classic vintage car. However, the star of the evening, Mahima, made a truly magical and unforgettable entry. She arrived on a beautifully decorated boat, gliding across the backwaters towards the wedding venue, which was uniquely situated on a strip of land between the Arabian Sea and the backwaters. Guests watched in awe as Mahima waved from a distance, creating an enchanting spectacle. Upon reaching the shore, the Varmala ceremony took place amidst a shower of magical pyrotechnics. The guests then proceeded to the wedding Mandap, adorned with a stunning pookalam on top, completing the picture-perfect setting.
Sangeet & Mayra
Joyful Mayra & Star-Studded Sangeet
Day two began with the vibrant Mayra function, filled with joyous dancing in one of the indoor banquet halls. The energy then escalated in the evening for the spectacular Sangeet ceremony. The outdoor lawn was transformed into a magical wonderland, featuring a large reflective mirror dance floor that amplified the dazzling lights and trussing hangings above. The highlight of the evening was a sensational performance by the renowned singer Benny Dayal. Guests enjoyed a large bar, tall and elegant centerpieces, and a breathtaking tunnel entrance with accompanying dancers for the grand entry of Piyush and Mahima.
